Jon Dale, the new owner of RawFoodBali.com, here. I’d like to start off by saying that I’m very excited to have been afforded this incredible opportunity, and I really look forward to getting to know and helping grow the vibrant community of raw food enthusiasts in Ubud, the rest of Bali and the whole world. The potential for this lifestyle to be adopted by the masses excites and motivates me, as there are so many problems in the world that can be solved simply by improving the way we eat and treat our bodies. I hope to contribute to the resolution of these issues.
With that said, the meat and potatoes (irony not intended) of this, my inaugural blog post, isn’t exactly as appetizing as I would’ve liked it to be. Some of you may have visited the site over the past couple of days and witnessed the sheer horror of an inactive website. I know. It didn’t sit well with me either.
I apologize for this. I have been trying to transfer the hosting to a new company, and it has been tumultuous and frustrating to say the least. After many hours on the phone with tech support fellows, a straw finally emerged that broke the camel’s back. The last of the half dozen or so different tech support goons I dealt with accidentally deleted all the website files that took several hours to upload, and at that moment I decided that this company was not for me.
Back in the sure hands of the original hosting company, I have managed to get the site back up and will be completing (smoothly and without any downtime, hopefully) the hosting transfer some time in the next couple of days. I believe that there were periods during these last couple of days where our email accounts were down as well, so if you sent us any emails during that time there is a chance that they vanished into thin internet air. Please do resend any email that you have not received a response to.
