UBUD AREA

Ubud Farmers Market - Pasar Organik

When: Saturdays 9:30am – 2:00pm

What you can find: Locally grown organic fresh fruit and vegetables in season, local potted herbs, cacao butter, small quantities of raw nuts and seeds, cacao, vanilla, spices, shots of wheatgrass

Directions from Central Ubud: Take Jl. Hanoman South from Ubud’s Main Road for 2km Continue straight past Monkey Forest Rd. for 1km more. Pizza Bagus is on the right.

Bali Buddha

When: Daily from 8:00am to 10:00 pm

What you can find: Bali Buddha is Ubud’s only real health food store. It carries fresh organic produce, raw organic nuts and seeds, raw apple cider vinegar, olive oil, coconut oil, herbal remedies, vitamins and supplements

Sari Organic

When: Open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm

What you can find: Sari Organic’s farm has a wide range of organically grown fruits and vegetables. You can visit the farm and order there or you can order from the Sari Organic restaurant, which is directly across the path and very much worth visiting anyway. They also deliver.

Address: The farm and restaurant is located in a rice field about a 20 min walk from downtown Ubud. To get there, walk 800m down the Abangan/Water Way, starting from Ubud Main Rd. It’s not the easiest place to find, so follow the signs or ask a local if you have trouble.

Delta Dewata Supermarket

When:Daily 9:00am to 10:00pm

What you can find:Delta is a large supermarket and has a good selection of fruits and vegetables – some organic. The store also carries local produce in season including durian, mangoes, avocados and more. Some selection of herbs and spices as wells as nuts and seeds.

Bintang Supermarket

When:Daily 8:00am to 10:00pm

What you can find:Bintang is Ubud’s other large supermarket. A little nicer and a little pricier than Delta Dewata, Bintang carries local and imported produce – some organic. It also stocks some nuts and seeds.

SEMINYAK – KUTA – KEROBOKAN -SANUR

Manik Organik - Health Food Store and Thursday Evening Market

When: Normal Store hours 9am – 8pm. Thursday only Farmer’s Market 4pm – 8 pm

What you can find: At the store: Natural remedies, organic products, some raw nuts and seeds, limited supply of fresh produce. At the market: a good variety of fresh produce and more

Zula Vegetarian Paradise

When: Open everyday from 8am to midnight

What you can find:Zula is more of restaurant than store, but it does carry a small selection of specialty foods and herbs. All are dry goods. No fresh produce.

Earth Cafe Restaurant – Down To Earth Health Food Store

When: Daily 8am to midnight

What you can find: The shop next to the restaurant stocks a good variety of dried goods including raw nuts and seeds, some raw oils, vinegar, miso and sea vegetables. It also carries herbal remedies and other organic personal care products. No fresh produce out front, but the restaurant may sell some upon request.

Dijon – Food Specialties

What you can find:Dijon is a gourmet supermarket that specializes in hard to find foods in Bali. It stocks some organic fresh fruits and produce, nuts and seeds including Brazil nuts and a good selection of herbs and spices.

Carrefour Bali

What you can find: Carrefour is a huge variety store that has everything from computers to clothes. It also contains a full size supermarket with a small selection of organic produce, spices and herbs, and other specialty items.

Gede Green – Bali Rungu

What you can find: Gede is a local organic farmer of a great selection of fresh greens, herbs and some fruits. He’s the only one we’ve found growing organic dinosaur kale on Bali. Gede delivers on Wed and Sat to the Ubud area. Minimum order is 75,000rp. You can also find his great produce at the Ubud Farmer’s Market on Saturday.  You can also ask him about visiting his farm in Baturiti.
