Sapodilla Spirulina Chia Pudding

Known as the Sawo or Sabo in Indonesia, or the Sapodilla in the West, this delectably caramelly member of the Sapote family gets along famously with Spirulina. Spirulina is one of those really interesting ingredients that seems to be very particular with its dance partners. Certain things really don’t go well with it, whereas others are surprisingly delicious pairings. The Sawo Spirulina Chia Pudding is a fantastic example of the latter.

Sapodilla Spirulina Chia Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • ¾ cup Water
  • ¾ cup Chopped Sapodilla
  • ½ tsp Spirulina Powder
  • 2 tsp Liquid Sweetener of Choice
  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 pinches of Salt

Instructions

  1. Chia Seeds in water until gelatinous. This should take 10-20 minutes. Stir periodically to speed this process up.
  2. Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  3. Garnish with Fruits, Nuts and Seeds.
